Community Banks cannot win in the battle of the branches. To succeed, they must meet and transact with the customer elsewhere… where the competition is close to zero.

Who Needs Bank Branches?

Rent branches instead of owning them. Rent ATMs instead of owning them. It is cheaper and provides the ability for any bank to cover the nation. If it works for USAA, Schwab, Fidelity and others, why not for your Bank?

Is it wise for Banks to increase investment in Branches

Why continue to invest in branches given that more than 50% of bank customers visit bank branches less than once per year? Why not significantly enhance online and mobile capability given that this is the present and the future of banking?
